Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a place at Buck Creek for me to serve?

Why should I serve? Do you really need me?

Absolutely! You don’t have to look very far to see that ministry opportunities abound, while people resources are in short supply. God is calling this church to make an impact. It will take all of our efforts together to fulfill this potential.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Buck Creek. Every week it takes volunteers to make ministry happen, so YES...we need you! Serving allows you to be used by God to make a real difference in people’s lives, here at Buck Creek and reaching out to the world for Jesus, one person at a time.

What opportunities are available?

What is expected of me as a volunteer?

Our primary goal is for each person to be serving in a way that fits their God-given strengths and spiritual gifts. With that mindset, we encourage you to look for serving roles that allow you to do just that. We do realize, though, that some people simply want to serve where there is the greatest need. We always have room for more volunteers in our Children's Ministry, as well as our Usher and Greeter teams. Please contact us for questions and opportunities.
Expectations will vary from role to role, however you can rest assured there is are processes being put in place to ensure that you are equipped and trained. Every ministry has a team leader whose responsibility is to set you up to win. The most important thing you can do is to show up and be ready to go when you say you will. Should you ever have any questions about what is expected of you be sure to talk with your team leader. Good, open communication is the best method to ensure the serving opportunity is a good fit for both you and the ministry.
